About the Course

Are you a CCW holder in California looking to renew your concealed carry permit for self-defense? Our hybrid online training course is tailored for you. We address your concerns, provide expert guidance, and equip you with the knowledge to carry confidently while staying compliant with California laws. 

Meet Your Instructors

William “Bill” Murphy has been a law enforcement officer and deputy in the State of California for the past four decades, primarily assigned to Patrol, SWAT and training functions. In 1990, Bill began the Instructor Provost program at Gunsite Training Center. He continued on as a Rangemaster and was the 44th instructor hired at Gunsite, teaching pistol, Shotgun, carbine, SMG, close quarter, and low light tactics. He ran and operated the SureFire Institute for twenty years training law enforcement and specialized military groups. Since 1998 Bill and his wife, Cheryl, have been running Firearms Training Associates in Southern California teaching CCW, shotgun, pistol, rifle, carbine to the armed civilian, law enforcement, and military. Cheryl Murphy is a retired Southern California police officer with three decades of service. She was an Academy Instructor, CA POST Certified Instructor, and is a credentialed college instructor.
